Volleyball

I have been playing volleyball, both indoor and beach, for almost half of my life (1984-2000) and I have played for several different teams in different divisions.

During the years I have played indoor volleyball with: Nivrena, Ultra Süd, Ultra 73, Sollentuna Volley, Uppsala Volley (UVK and UVBS). Most of the time (9 years) I played in Elitserien and I also represented the Swedish Junior National Team for a couple of years.

I have been playing on all positions on the court, except as a setter. The first years the trainers thought I would be a center, due to my length, but after a while the trainers realized that my skills were not in the blocking, but rather in the reception and defence. So the last five years of my career I played mainly as a spiker and I was known as the "tallest receiver in Sweden".

During the summers I used to play beachvolley on the Swedish beach tour. The years when I played with Tobias Arkbåge (1999 and 2000) were my most successful and we reached the Swedish top-10.
